It may have done so for me also, but then my game was not at a high enough version for WA to install, thereby causing the same error in different wording. Could "Asia Pacific" not be "Australian"? Did I go and spend $100 on a dodgey Singaporean Sims 3 or something without realising?ĮDIT Apparently changing the region code through "regedit" fixes the problem for some users. On the back of my Sims 3 case, it says "Asia Pacific Version", WA has nothing on the back. ![]() Then I press okay and the installer closes.Īwwwwwwwwwwwweeeeeeeeeeeeeee. ![]() This product requires The Sims 3 to have the same regional code in order to be installed." So, I just got WA from EB (Australia, where I live) and went to isntall it, only to find, to my dismay - "The Setup has detected that the regional install code for The Sims 3 is different than what this expansion requires. From what I gathered from the wiki, I have the "English" version of S3, based of the version ending in ".1". Secondly, I DO NOT have a bootlet version of The Sims 3. First off, apologies if I failed to find a thread already on the subject.
